Automatic station for car steering bar surface crack detection

Automatic station is made of welded steel profile frames, control section and an appropriate mechanics for input and output handling. Checked steering bars are picked from input loader by manipulator, consequently transferred to clamper and rotated. After that, crack presence through eddy current checking method by IBG Eddydetector device is non-destructively detected. The first measuring probe is used for bar round head surface checking, next two ones enable pattern checking of defined places along the steering bar. The pattern sets probe distance from bar surface and at the same time designates induction switch measuring zones. Measuring being finished, the steering bars are transferred by manipulator to flawless or flawed piece output loaders. Stationary stroke lasts less than 10 seconds. The station is also equipped with Ethernet network interface so as to be connected to internal LAN net.
